The original “Screwface Crew” took shape in 2023, establishing the characters and visual direction that would grow into OG Ordinals. I had been exploring Web3 and was drawn to NFT collections. That curiosity led me to research the blockchain ecosystem and understand how everything worked. I eventually joined the Fame Lady Society and fell in love with the community culture. It felt like discovering a new canvas, and I began wondering how my own art could contribute to this space.

I started putting together a mood board and sketching. Around that time, I was learning about the possibility of inscribing art on Bitcoin. The idea of giving my characters a place on that blockchain stayed with me. I was also inspired by Satoshi Nakamoto, Bitcoin’s enigmatic creator. My love for art and blockchain technology opened up a new way of thinking about how I could share my work.

Alongside developing the characters, I spent time studying the economics of blockchain art, learning which digital wallets to use, talking with developers, and going to conferences. Little by little, I was learning what it would take to inscribe my own art on Bitcoin.

As the characters took shape, I wanted different people to see something of themselves in the collection. Something of me found its way into the characters too, in their expressions, their attitude, and the details I chose to keep. This was my first collection, and I wanted to give it the time and care it deserved.
